Junior feed formulator will provide support to the Formulation Manager, support on feed formulation and recipe optimization for the BioMar French and Spanish factories.

The most important challenges would be concerning recipe optimization and formula maintenance. You will work closely with mill managers, to help with production challenges.

Advise sourcing responsible for buying the right raw materials, quantities and interest price. Transfer the right recipe information to sales department, Biofarm Dept. and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Handle customer inquiries on product recipes

Support Biofarm Dept. on trial formulas and cell methods

Ensuring all products conform with the product master file

Manage feed formulas, optimizations and raw materials prognosis

Support on recipe cost calculation and margins control

Create, calculate and uphold accurate feed labels

Follow feed regulations for the area of relevance

Handle production challenges, analyzing production data, laboratory results and providing recommendations for formula improvements

Required Education and Training

Junior feed formulators should have a bachelor's degree in either marine science, biologist or agricultural science, preferable with a post grade or specialization in fish nutrition or aquaculture.

Key Skills and Experience

Ideally relatively advanced knowledge of fish nutrition and formulation

Be fluent in English and French or Spanish.

Good IT skills

Ability to work in a team environment

Valid driver license and car

Great organization and time management skills

Capacity to learn fast

Detail oriented

Willing to travel

The candidate will be placed in the French factory (Nersac).
