Operate mining equipment and support mining machine operation including Ancillary, Ultra Class, and other family of equipment.
Working safely in a mining environment and able to follow the procedures and policies that are in place.
Drive and control the equipment
Respond to signals and directions by the staff and work in coordination with them
Takes care of the equipment.
Respects with guidance from Dispatch office.
Inputs in the system install in the equipment assigned all the required information at all times, including but not limit to, all daily activities.
Inform and advise the management or repairmen for major repairs or maintenance
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and Diagnose mechanical problems
Ensure that equipment is maintained with maximum efficiency and productivity by initiating corrective action and ensuring maintenance and engineering standards are adhered to.
Use existing procedures to solve routine or standard technical problems.
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
Report any damage or repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors.
Maximizing equipment and system availability by determining potential hazards and risks to production and developing / implementing maintenance work plans required to continually improve availability and integrity.
Always keep a good attendance.
Always respect and follow all the procedures and laws applicable in the country.
Operate all type of equipment’s that you have received the certification granted by Cobre Panama.
Follow the foreman, supervisor or superintendent instructions and abide by the Cobre Panama rules at all time.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Education High School Diploma.
Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Strong drive and personal sense of ownership and accountability.Strong ability to work in a "team" environment;
Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment;Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction or mining as equipment operatorValid driver’s license granted by the local authorities.
Valid certification granted by the company.
Strong Spanish language skills preferred.

Cobre Panama is a remote site and the position is offered as BIBO (bus in, bus out).
