The access strategist is responsible for the full range of activities and deliverables to obtain and maintain Market Access, Reimbursement, and optimal Pricing for Pfizer’s products.

This may include leading a team of H&V colleagues on the development and execution of access strategies, alignment and integration of global and local country commercial and H&V strategies and coordination and delivery of key value propositions to external payer customers and influencers.

Key Accountabilities :

The access strategist Lead will be accountable for :

Maintains updated identification, mapping and segmentation of key stakeholders

Ensures the inclusion of payer customer insights in strategic planning processes

Development (and execution, as applicable) of portfolio Market Access plans for key products and therapeutic areas, that balance individual brand considerations with longer term portfolio and payer-relationship priorities

Leads development of robust, credible value arguments and propositions for Pfizer products

Depending on market structure, leads external interaction with payer stakeholders, including stakeholder strategy, relationship management and development of innovative partnerships

Directs payer and patient research activities to understand stakeholder requirements, for selected products / therapies, and health technology / assessment hurdles in local markets

Develops, implements and maintains key measurement systems and KPIs to demonstrate impact of Market Access strategies and programs

Establishes strong working relationships across functions, contributing ideas, strategies, team / matrix leadership in an innovative, thought provoking and collegial manner.

Key Deliverables :

Development (and execution, as applicable) of portfolio Market Access plans

Development (and execution) of product Pricing, Access and Reimbursement strategies

Oversees development and delivery of dossier submissions

Development of Product-specific Payer Value Propositions

Development of alternative market access approaches to accelerate formulary inclusions and increase demand

Key internal relationships / interactions : HEOR, Pricing, Corporate Affairs, Market Access, Sales, Commercial, Medical and Regulatory

Knowledge / Requirements :

At least 5 years’ experience in a relevant sector, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, patient services, financial services or health tech

Relevant qualifications in healthcare (e.g. MPH), business (e.g. MBA) or finance an advantage

Fluent Spanish a requirement. Fluent English strongly preferred
