The PaCo / EPC Resident Engineer is experienced in network architecture, design, configuration, provisioning and operational aspects of the Nokia PaCo (2G / 3G) y EPC (LTE) , products and Solutions, she / he will work onsite with customer Engineering Team providing support and assistance at the direction of customer personnel.

The PaCo / EPC RE has broad experience in packet core network and services architectures and deep product expertise on the current Nokia platforms FNS : Flexi Network Server ( SGSN, MME) , FNG : Flexi Network Gateway (SAE-

GW,S-GW,P-GW), CMDs, DNS and knowledge on the newest virtualized platforms CMM (Cloud Mobility Management) & CMG (Cloud Mobility Gateway) The Packet Core RE will provide support to customer architecture / engineering team in the areas of :

Architecture and design of Packet Core network

Packet Core Network Optimization

Provide technical answers and solutions

Produce and review customer specific documentation for various change requests, maintenance, monitoring or administrative procedures applicable to Packet Core Network

Produce and review design and training documentation, as well as various customer-facing documents.

Work closely with customer’s technical management to ensure close relationship and responsiveness to customer needs.

Provide advanced and customized workshops and technical training to customers.

Advice the customers regarding optimization, planning, feature

Main Tasks :

Create and review of MOPs for Add / Update / Remove APNs, VRFs, Migrations for 2G / 3G, IP POOLs

Generate PaCo Capacity and performance reports of the NE s an network that includes : SGSN, MME, GGSN, SAE-PGW, CMDs, DNS, CMM, CMG

Analyze traffic behavior in the network

Analyze and balance traffic and APNs in the network

Review 2G / 3G and LTE configurations and parameters

Monitor and get reports of CPU load and PaCo Alarms

Check Radius configurations

IP Pools analysis

Review DNS entries

Forecast PACO

CPU Usage and Transaction Per Second Analysis for SGSNs, MME and Flexi NG

Check users in the network

APNs Review

CDRs review and CMD

Troubleshooting in SGSN, MME, and Flexi NG (GGSN, SAE-PGW) , CMM, CMG

Packet Core optimization

Perform reports for external regulation instances

Technical :

Familiar with GPRS and 2G / 3G / 4G networks and interfaces

Experience and knowledge of GSM / Packet core / EPC network, routing and all type of signaling and GPRS call flow concept with all PS core nodes like Gb, Gr, Gn, Gi, Gx, Gy,Gz interfaces.

Packet Core NPO Experience is mandatory. IP networks knowledge too.

KPIs definition, generation and analysis experience.

Deep knowledge of mobile packet core networks and functionality of SGSN, SAE-GW and MME.

Commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting of ATCA, SGSN, ATCA GGSN and other Packet Core products is a plus.

Knowledge in the next third party NEs : Infoblox DNS, Checkpoint. FW, Juniper and Cisco Routers / Switches.

Non-technical :

Consulting experience with strong customer communication skills.

Very proactive and propositive

Team player with excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Strong knowledge and experience in planing and optimization services.

Self-motivated well-organized individual who can prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.

Ability to interact with a variety of people and work well with others in a fast paced environment.
