In this Position
The regional Innovation Lead will :
Be the representative of their category within the host region
Work closely with the Science innovation head of their region and their respective sub-category heads and other Innovation Leads (based in a different region)
Initiate regional / local projects for their respective region with end-to-end accountability (close collaboration with Product Managers & Marketing Departments of key countries)
Align with Scientific innovation head of their region & respective sub-category head (based in other regions) to make sure that all innovation initiatives are suitable
Align with Science innovation Head of their region and respective sub-category head (based in different region) before each RIRC (Regional Innovation Review Committee)
Be responsible for delivering a sustainable innovation pipeline for their sub-category within their region
Influence and advise key stakeholders and the leadership team on industry trends and new opportunities for their sub-category / region
Build a consolidated view of all projects for their sub-category / region, identify cross-fertilization / scale-building opportunities, and prioritizes budget and resources between projects to deliver the ambition (close collaboration with portfolio)
Collaborate closely with the countries (Marketing) of their region to identify their needs
Should collaborate closely with other science departments (Evidence Generation & Pharmacovigilance, Scientific affairs), legal / IP, and marketing of the sub-category & region
Evaluate innovations (extern or in-house) for their sub-category / region
Evaluate innovations such as BD opportunities, NPD, claims with significant impact that need clinicals, novel ingredients & formulation technologies, sustainable solutions
Utilize decision making criteria, recommend innovation investment allocations for the sub-category in the country / region, and assist in clear communication of decisions across the organization to ensure aligned execution
Support the development and implementation of frameworks that enable rigorous and objective decision-making within and across platforms to drive prioritization and trade-offs
Support and execute regular innovation reviews to pressure test strategic areas of focus in the country / region for the sub-category
Promote a culture of Ethics and Business Integrity in your team, serving as a model by ensuring adequate knowledge and compliance with the principles of ethics and integrity, Sanofi's policies and codes of conduct that regulate the pharmaceutical market
Comply with and promote Sanofi's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies in relation to the team it manages, which includes the Road Safety Program (Road Safety), with the objective of preventing accidents from occurring, avoiding risks for health, promote the well-being of employees and reducing the environmental impacts resulted from the execution of their work activities

Scientific Innovation Head for their sub-category / region; Global Science teams of given sub-cat; technical development teams / New Product Development (NPD) centers;
key countries / Marketing departments; Co-Leads and Sub-cat head of their sub-category dedicated to other regions; Portfolio & PM, IA including EM;
Packaging Innovation Evidence Generation& Pharmacovigilance, Scientific affairs, Quality, legal / IP
Your Experience : To be successful in this position, we need candidates with the following requirements
Education : Degree in Science or Higher degree (Ph.D.) or relevant Academic qualification is desirable
Experience & knowledge : To succeed in this position, it is necessary to :
Knowledge of pipeline data (financial, timing / milestones, and value propositions) and disease state data, to enable concise executive level communication of critical insights, decision-making aids, and recommendations to senior management
Experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, consumer healthcare and / or Cosmetics industry is required
Experience in bringing to life ideas and science linked to consumers insights and experiences
Ability to partner and influence across a matrix environment with strong communication skills
Ability to apply a variety of analytical techniques to derive insights from a set of objective and subjective data inputs
Languages : Fluent spoken and written English
An Additional language is desirable
