PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :
Translates business objectives into actionable marketing strategies and tactics which include but are not limited to branding, B2B and B2C marketing, social media, digital marketing, market research / analysis, data analysis, distribution channel selection, media planning and media buying attracting corporate and individual donors with a high degree of engagement while providing a high level of leadership and support to the ALT and COs.
The Regional Marketing and Comms Specialist is an expert and focal point across the region, and around the world, in developing and executing in generating revenue from a range of private donors.
She / he keeps a close relationship and collaboration with fundraising and engagement with ChildFund International.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional Communications and Marketing Strategy
Develop and implement a regional communication, marketing, and fundraising strategy that focuses on building the necessary actions to achieve and communicate a sustainable competitive advantage over competitors by understanding the needs and wants of potential corporate and individual donors.
Lead fundraising emergency campaigns to contribute with fundraising KPIs.
Update and monitor quarterly KPIs to measure the effectiveness of implementing strategies.
Provide advice and mentorship as an internal consultant to fundraising staff across the region.
Augment market share by generating compelling marketing guidelines and materials to support regional and in country fundraising KPIs.
Develop a coherent regional value propositions for corporate and individual donors
Designs and implement CO and regional fundraising strategies through channel diversification, such as caused-based, digital, face to face, telemarketing, and others relevant channels according to context.
Promotes different analyzes from data from the CRM, Social Networks, etc. for the definition of product proposals as well as business intelligence for the value of the donor base.
Develop and analyze management reports that allow evaluating progress and compliance vis-à-vis goals defined in the region and by COs.
Develops social marketing strategies and social products.
Content Creation and Management
In conjunction with COs, create content stories, photos, videos, quotes, etc. that help the region increase brand awareness, building and nurturing relationships with donors and the public at the CO and regional levels.
Write, edit, and oversee the production of publications such as newsletters, annual reports, brochures, and visual assets for external and internal use, including emergency response materials.
Oversee internal and external communications to ensure that key messages are communicated clearly and often throughout the region and COs to select targeted audiences in compliance with branding guidelines, child safeguarding standards, and other related controls.
Provide COs with the necessary guidelines for local partners on how to create content according to brand manual.
Promote and coordinate effective internal communications on behalf of the regional office, including the Region’s ChildFund Share site.
Brand, Visibility / Representation
Act as brand ambassador, responsible for regional communications, including printing materials, digital channels and for managing regional media relations.
In collaboration with organization partners, serve as liaison between the organization and the media (press, radio, web, cable, TV, etc.
and in crisis situations proactively prepare updates, press statements, and ensure appropriate placement.
Remain alert to potential reputation risks in the region’s COs and, when needed, develop statements.
Continue building ChildFund’s brand recognition, working across channels to further increase awareness and understanding of the organization and its mission to stakeholders and potential donors around the region.
Develop capacities of COs marketing team through training and periodic meetings to share good practices.
Build and manage a network of effective media relations coordinating activities with public relations professionals and focal points in ChildFund’s offices.
Alliance Relationship Management
Proactively and frequently prepare timely updates for the Regional Director, ChildFund International website, and / or other members of the ChildFund Alliance upon request.
In consultation and collaboration with COs Program and Sponsorship Managers and the Fundraising and Engagement Division, determine creative and innovative ways addressing reporting requirements for ChildFund International programs and other Alliance members with an effective storytelling.
Any other activity inherent to the position and define by supervisor.
Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field. A master's degree in business or marketing is preferred.
Minimum 5 years-experience in Regional Marketing positions in similar organizations. At least two years with international development organization is preferred.
Demonstrated management and leadership skills of diverse teams
Demonstrated experience in leading successful fundraising campaigns including KPIs.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing marketing strategies, channels, emails, social media, and / or display advertising campaigns
Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools, as well as digital marketing strategies.
Effective writing, speaking, presenting and active listening skills.
Familiarity with content management systems, webpage analytics, customer relationship management and other relevant software.
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
Knowledge of international development work particularly in relation to concepts and practices of development of children, Children’s rights, child protection, emergency response, and humanitarian space.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as desktop and marketing-based editing tools.
