The Drilling Fluids Specialist is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to Customers. The Drilling Fluids Specialist identifies opportunities to improve service delivery, implements standard work, and manage, risk during service delivery, communicates daily and when the case merits it with the project engineer or the Operations Manager, if necessary, for the purpose of informing and discussing the activities carried out and future.
Roles & Responsibilities
Inspect service associated equipment such as : Slurry Tanks, Chemical Mixing System for Drilling Fluid, Solids Control Equipment, Slurry Pumps, Fluid and Chemical Storage Area
Coordinate and supervise fluid preparation according to drilling fluid program concentrations and recommendations.
Evaluate drilling fluid properties by applying your knowledge when performing both basic and special tests according to the methods described by the API and the Drilling Fluid Engineering Manual
Perform the respective analysis of the fluid with the frequency defined and agreed with the client
Minimum Job Qualifications
Petroleum Engineers or Chemical Engineers
Experience up to 6 years in similar jobs.
Management software ONE-TRAX, VIRTUAL HYDRAULICS, VIRTUAL COMPLETIONS.
Knowledge of water-based and oil-based drilling fluid system management.
Knowledge of borehole drilling operations.
Handling and operation of solids control equipment, circulation and mixing system in slurry tanks.
Knowledge of the Ecuadorian basin.
