Product Manager Country Model Banks
The role of Product Manager is to act as the productowner and expert for a region or for one or more specific countries.
The ProductManager is therefore responsible for defining and delivering the strategicroadmap. This includes the identification of market trends, the design ofappropriate business solutions, the planning of the product development, thesupport of sales and the delivery of reference clients.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
The principal areas of responsibility are as follows :
Strategic product direction
End-to-end product development
Support of the sales process
Support for strategic and pilot clients
Within each of these, the role will include :
close liaison with the sales teams and clientsto understand front line requirements;
analysis of key trends, requirements and opportunities;
analysis of how these trends / requirements should be met by Temenos either through in-house development, partnership or acquisition
production and presentation of business cases for new Strategic Initiatives to the Product Board;
Publishing of product roadmap.
End-to-end product development
The Product Manager owns the end-to-end developmentprocess for any Strategic Initiative (project) including :
planning of the key deliverables, timeline and major milestones;
communication of the plan and progress to key stakeholders;
production of business requirements;
solution design (with Development, Quality & Model owners);
production and testing of software (with Development and Quality owners);
model bank design and build;
acceptance testing and sign off;
production of system and user documentation (with Knowledge owner);
production of training materials (with Knowledge owner);
internal training rollout (with Knowledge owner);
production of pre sales materials and collateral.
Supporting sales :
to provide sales support as the strategic product owner and product expert;
Toassist in any demos or workshops where :
local resources have insufficient knowledge;
information on strategic developments and the product roadmap is required;
where the presence of the product owner is deemed beneficial in securing the sale
to assist the regions in developing their own Pre-sales capability and ensuring that appropriate client demonstrations can be designed and executed effectively
knowledge transfer for new strategic initiatives to allow them to become self sufficient in these areas
Support for strategic and pilot clients andimplementations
to assist the Services teams in the planning, execution and support in any strategic or pilot site;
to assist and support strategic client implementations and be the liaison between Product and Services for any major enhancements;
to assist the regions in making one or more pilot sites for new integration and / or interaction functionality referenceable;
to assist the regions in developing their own Services capability in any new functional areas.
Skills and Qualifications :
Technical skills :
Proven experience of working in a similar role;
Degree level education or equivalent is required;
Product ownership experience;
Experience in commercial software development;
Proven development experience;
Strong quality and test driven development ethics;
Proven experience in the delivery of complex enhancements;
Proven Pre-Sales skills and ability to liaise with customers at a senior level;
Self-starter able to work effectively in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
Market & Banking knowledge :
Overall experience in retail banking.
Knowledge of banking regulations and practices in one or multiple North America or Latin American countries
Knowledge of other banking software solutions
Experience in private banking would also bebeneficial
All of the above gained in either a banking softwaresolution provider or within a bank or financial institutions commercial or IToperations.
