AIG’s underwriters help to find insurance solutions for risks from a range of areas including life insurance, aviation, financial lines, casualty, environmental, catastrophic events, high net worth individuals, and boardroom liabilities.

As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and / or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset.

This position reports to the CEO and these are some the responsibilities :

  • A superior technical leadership role for others in the department.
  • Mentors and assists underwriting staff as required building on their interpretive and decisioning making skills.
  • Maintains and controls pending case inventory to verify that all cases are processed within company standards. Provides guidance on the most complex applications.
  • Coordinates with regional offices, marketing and other home office personnel to resolve problems and / or variances regarding the risk selection process.
  • Makes field visits for purposes of public relations, agency interaction and education.
  • Plans, develops and conducts special projects as assigned.
  • What we are looking for

  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to optimize work processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills Fully bilingual or as close to 80% as possible (English-Spanish)
  • A proven track record in insurance multinational companies
  • A good level of experience in team management.
