What you need to know :
Accountable for financial performance incl. P&L in the Auto, Personal Property & Service Programs business
Drives the agreed upon top & bottom line budgets and develops necessary business plans to drive desired results
Deliver strong execution against growth and profitability goals and objectives
Develops and executes distribution strategy for Auto, Personal Property & Service Programs products aligned with the International & Regional strategy
Drive underwriting excellence across Auto, Personal Property & Service Programs by establishing and ensuring adherence to risk appetite, line setting (where appropriate), standards and guidelines, and ensure rating and pricing adequacy aligned with International & Regional guidance.
Motivate, coach and develop leaders of tomorrow through personal development plans and monitoring ensuring adequate talent management and succession planning is in place.
In accordance with HR policies handle recruitment, people related issues, disciplinary processes and decisions.
Integrates key International & Regional Auto, Personal Property & Service Programs initiatives at the country level and ensures effective execution locally
Identify new markets, segments, products, services and tools, as well as marketing distribution & underwriting strategies
Drive and maximize the development of market opportunities to achieve target and maximize financial efficiency through proactive management of all channels
Maximize business development : sales planning, monitoring (including pipeline planning) and effective broker management
Support country & product segmentation strategies to maximize product availability across channels and customer share of wallet
Prioritize & ensure effective project execution of major initiatives within department (aligned with International & Regional guidance)
Co-operate with International & Regional peers and International Head of Auto, Personal Property & Service Programs, to maximize opportunities with AIG Distribution teams
Ensure alignment of business strategies and activities with the requirements of applicable local regulations and corporate guidelines
Works closely with other Product leaders, Distribution, Marketing & Communications
Ensure a reputation of Claims excellence & service delivery in the marketplace
Drives policies, guidelines and procedures
Drives a culture that promotes collaboration, diversity and inclusion
Have a positive attitude with an growth mindset
Participate in the country s Executive Committee contributing to the local management as a senior leader and being a reference for our 170 employees
Spend 75% of his / her time focused on Auto and Personal Property and 15% in Service Programs
What we’re looking for :
At least 7 years of experience in multinational insurance companies, including oversight over multiple personal insurance products, including P&L responsibility
Bachelor’s degree in Actuary, Finance, Mathematics or related
Deep expertise in Auto, Personal Property & Service Programs with more emphasis in Auto & Personal Property with an expert technical underwriting background
Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, direct marketing, acquisition and distribution
Strong commercial / business skills
Strategic Leadership skills in developing vision and purpose, driving for results and leading effective teams
Established strong relationships with customers, intermediaries, and regulators
Knowledge in Direct Marketing and Bank Assurance deals
Demonstrated business savvy, analytical and quantitative skills
Strong knowledge and commitment to sustainable practice as required by evolving regulations, with particular emphasis on customer fairness and sales practices
A knowledge of the Consumer Protection Code & the Consumer Insurance Contracts Act 2019 is preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, a professional designation is desired but not essential
