Supervise the teams to ensure that the planning and programming of all loading and hauling activities are executed against the daily, weekly and monthly program.
Establish strong working relationships with blasting, dispatch and mining operations teams to ensure that schedules and dispatch plans are consistent with the requirements.
Supervise teams to ensure the achievement of monthly production objectives as assigned, with respect to standards, work quality, reprocessing and performance :
Carry out controls to ensure that safe, efficient and productive work practices are maintained at all times.
Train and correct crews in the use of correct techniques, skills, knowledge and maintenance of production standards.
Compliance / Quality Control
Promote and adhere to appropriate internal methodologies, policies, procedures and standards.
Constantly maintain a high quality of work in all assigned functions.
Provide informed comments / opinions, improvement opportunities and areas of risk for the administration.
Ensure that the quality of the results of the department's work complies with the company's standards and is monitored daily to ensure that the delivery meets expectations.
Ensure compliance with all legal and company regulations through training and staff development and promotion through example.
Actively contribute to a culture of improvement by actively encouraging direct reports to participate in continuous improvement, capture their initiatives and provide feedback.
Provide daily supervision, acting as a technical reference point and mentor for Foreman to ensure that the results of the work are in line with the daily and weekly business plans.
Monitor performance and develop review plans for all direct reports.
Ensure the compliance of the crews with the agreed list patterns and notify management of the gaps created during the license periods.
Identify training opportunities for the unit and work with the training department and management to implement such initiatives.
Manage and execute discipline in accordance with the company's disciplinary code.
Implement the FQM Way culture in the supervisory team : "bolder, smarter, driven, together".
Perform any other task assigned to it.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor of Mining Engineering (desirable)
Conflict Management Certification (desirable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work in a "team" environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain self-discipline in a stressful environment.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in loading and hauling activities in large mining operations.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the experience of a frontline supervisor, including personnel, budget management and tactical planning.
Proficiency in English is (desirable) basic in required English and proficiency in Spanish required Fluency in highly recognized Spanish.
A willingness to undertake desirable language training.
